OWNIT offers two distinct licensing models for its comprehensive healthcare and business management software solutions. Both models are governed by strict copyright protection, and all intellectual property rights remain exclusively with OWNIT regardless of the licensing model chosen.
☁️ SAAS (Cloud) Version
Subscription-based access to our cloud-hosted software. No installation required. Accessible from anywhere with an internet connection. Automatic updates, backups, and security patches included.
📀 Offline / On-Premise Version
Self-hosted solution installed on your own servers. Complete control over your data. Customizable to your infrastructure. Ideal for clinics with strict data residency requirements.
Copyright & Ownership
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE
All software, source code, databases, modules, features, documentation, and associated intellectual property provided by OWNIT is protected by international copyright laws. OWNIT retains full and exclusive ownership of all software, including both SAAS and Offline/On-Premise versions. No ownership rights are transferred to the client under any circumstance.
What Remains OWNIT's Property
- Source Code: Complete source code, scripts, and programming logic
- Database Schema: Table structures, relationships, and database architecture
- User Interface: Design, layout, icons, and visual elements
- Modules & Features: All functionality including patients, billing, inventory, appointments, medical records, etc.
- APIs & Integrations: Application Programming Interfaces and third-party connections
- Documentation: User manuals, technical guides, and help documentation
- Branding & Trademarks: OWNIT name, logo, and associated trademarks
What You CANNOT Do
- No Modification: You may not modify, alter, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the software
- No Redistribution: You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or transfer the software to any third party
- No Removal of Copyright Notices: You may not remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
- No Competitive Analysis: You may not use the software to build competing products or services
- No Source Code Access: You may not access (or attempt to access) the source code of SAAS version
Violation Consequences: Any violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of service, legal action, and liability for damages under applicable copyright laws (including DMCA, EUCD, and international copyright treaties).

Permitted Customizations & Modifications
Allowed (WITH prior written approval):

NOT Allowed (Without explicit license upgrade):
- Core code modifications
- Database structure changes
- Removal of OWNIT copyright notices
- Reselling or redistribution
- Creating competing products
- Reverse engineering
Requesting Modification Approval: Clients who require custom modifications beyond standard configuration must submit a written request to
[email protected]. A custom development agreement will be provided, and any custom code developed remains the exclusive property of OWNIT.
Ownership Clause (Applicable to Both Versions)
📜 LEGAL OWNERSHIP STATEMENT
"The SOFTWARE is licensed, not sold. OWNIT and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in and to the SOFTWARE, including all intellectual property rights embodied therein. This Agreement does not grant you any ownership rights to the SOFTWARE. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by OWNIT. The SOFTWARE is protected by copyright laws, international treaty provisions, and other intellectual property laws."
